People I've had the privilege to work with

    Dr. Amy Davis

    Former Supervisor

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Stephanie for three years, and I can say without hesitation that she is one of the most student-centered and caring professionals I’ve ever known. Stephanie is a champion for working with the underrepresented student population and helping those students ignite their academic and professional potential. She cares deeply about DEI initiatives, programming, and strategies. She consistently builds content, teaching, and programming around best practices while using student-development theories to guide her practice. Any college or university would be lucky to have Stephanie on their team.

    Rev. Racquel Gill

    Former Colleague

I had the pleasure of working alongside Stephanie as a colleague for two academic years at Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC. I fully believe that her years of experience as a higher education professional, her adaptability and ability to adjust to change, and her deep passion to create a more inclusive atmosphere for all students makes her an asset to any institution.

On a personal note, Stephanie is the type of colleague anyone would be blessed to have. She is one who cares about coworkers beyond the work that they do and seeks to show genuine interest in the person that they are. In moments of difficulty, she is dependable. In moments of crisis, she is steadfast. In moments of celebration, she is genuinely supportive.

Over the last two years I had the privilege to work and serve with Stephanie at Presbyterian College. She is an excellent collaborator and event planning partner, influential with the students she serves, and a fierce student advocate. Her commitment to student success and supporting the students she serves is evident in all of her work.

    Former Student

Over the course of a year, Stephanie has been there every step of the way to help me make sure I stayed on top of my academic and professional life. You may ask how can someone do this for an independent college student? Well, she encourages, supports, and pushes students to a new level of strength that one may not see in his or herself. Stephanie has helped students plan accordingly by setting personal goals with every student. She also takes time out of her personal life to respond to emails from students and will always continue to go the extra mile anyway she can if it benefits another student. If it weren't for Stephanie Keene, I wouldn't be where I am today.

My experience with Ms. Keene has been extremely awesome she has helped me to be able to schedule my classes keep myself accountable in my academic studies and personal circumstances. I have been able to project my grades and learn what I need to do study wise and also communication wise with my professors to achieve the grades that I want. I intend on becoming a jag lawyer in the US Army so she has helped me project my GPA and what I need to do succeed in my credit ours and college career academia.

    Professor

I have asked Stephanie to speak to my Interracial Communication class at Western Kentucky University the past few years. She has done exceptional speaking with my students about her background and how it has made her who she is. She was very easy to work with and very accommodating since we had to conduct her presentation via Zoom.

Stephanie was very open and honest with my students. This is something they expressed to me afterwards that they very much appreciated and made her presentation to them stand out. I am thankful for Stephanie taking such time and care when it comes to speaking to my class.

Working with Stephanie means working with a great collaborator, a considerate planner, and a committed partner. During our time together at Presbyterian College, I was able to witness students blossom under her guidance because the relationships she naturally builds transform what might be passing initiatives into impactful programs. I have enjoyed working with Stephanie whenever our paths crossed, and advocate for her professionalism and quality of work.
