    First-Gen professionals is a virtual panel where individuals who were first-gen in college can share their ups, downs, and advice about navigating life and the workforce after graduation.

    Internship Info Session

    The Internship Info Session assisted students interested in or admitted into the College of Business understand the requirements to get the mandatory internship and how to make it count for academic credit.

    Global Lounge

    Global Lounge allowed students to come practice their English outside the classroom in a more relaxed setting. Topics were informal and led by students with a native English speaker present to help guide them.

    First-Gen & Juice was a meet and greet where first-gen faculty, staff, and students could meet each other and discuss their experiences and offer each other support and advice. (This event occurred before "First-Gen and Juice" was copyrighted.)

    For the Culture

    For the Culture was a trivia night centered around local and national black history facts. It was an opportunity for students to become educated about black history in a fun and relaxed setting.

    Organizational Skills Workshop

    The Organizational Skills Workshop was a series of interactive training sessions teaching first-year and transfer student athletes how to use an academic planner, set up a Google calendar, and manage their time.

    Level Up Your LinkedIn Profile

    Level Up Your LinkedIn Profile was an interactive workshopwhere students were taught how to make themselves standout on the networking platform. They learned about key features, content creating, and generating page visits.

    Similar to the television show Shark Tank, Queens Universityof Charlotte’s Pitch Competition gives aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity “pitch” a business idea to a live audience.

    Christopher Dennis, a prominent economic development agentin the Charlotte Metro area spoke to students about finding your passion, using failure to push you forward, as well as incorporating your professional goals into service to your community.
